When & Where To Wear Red Socks
Considering whether to dabble with red socks or not? Hopefully we can help alleviate some of those lingering concerns you might have and help you take the leap into experimenting with red socks. They might not immediately strike you as a versatile sock choice, but we're here to prove that outdated theory wrong!
The "We Can Go Out Again" Look
When your attire requirements are a little more formal, we recommend combining a blue suit with red socks and brown shoes. The classic combination of blue and brown is always a winner, and adding red socks to it just adds a whole other dimension that really brings the outfit to life.
Not so formal night out planned at the local pub or restaurant? Dark chinos work really well with red socks. Finish the look with a tan Chelsea boot as shown below here with our Duke in Merlot Red.
The "Chasing Kids Around The Park" Look
Red socks, blue jeans and dark sneakers, as shown here on our founder Jack Stevens, is a great casual combination. Even for a less formal activity like a visit to the park, we feel it's important to look, and therefore feel, confident and good, and you never know who you might meet and have the need to impress. And make sure you choose bamboo socks, from Sirluxe Socks of course, to ensure maximum comfort during your outing.
The "Work From Home" Look
Red socks can add a subtle yet striking pop of colour to really elevate your work from home look. Match with black chinos and grey sneakers if needed for a strong blend of colours and more neutral shades. The grey detail of our Knight in Merlot Red matches works so well with the grey of the sneakers in this style. And here we've styled with a matching red jumper to complete the look. The Zoom call attendees won't know what they're missing.
The "City Walk" Look
Daily walks around the town need not be drab. They have, in fact, fast become a stalwart of daily life in Britain these days. Red socks can add a bit of colour and flair to your casual walk attire to help you walk with that little bit of extra spring in your step. Style with comfortable white trainers and black jeans for a casual and sleek look. Such is the versatility of our sock styles, here we see actor Kris Saddler effortlessly styling our red socks with a casual grey hooded jumper and they look better than ever!
There we have it, four occasions where it is not just appropriate to wear red socks, but from our side, encouraged! Red is such a confident, inspiring colour to us and need not be a scary colour choice when it comes to socks so we thoroughly recommend you give them a go.
